In 2024, Indonesia and the United States mark a significant milestone - 75 years of diplomatic relations. Since its establishment in 1949, this partnership has flourished across various sectors, evolving from a Strategic Partnership to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2023. To honor this momentous occasion, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia is proud to announce the Indonesian Festival on Sunday, August 25, 2024, along Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.
The Indonesia Festival is more than a commemoration. It is a celebration of the enduring bond between our nations. With objectives ranging from highlighting decades of fruitful collaboration to fostering community engagement, this multifaceted event promises to captivate attendees with the vibrant culture of Indonesia, from traditional arts and crafts to tantalizing cuisine, from lively performances to immersive workshops. Indonesian businesses, including Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) will showcase their unique products and services, providing attendees with a glimpse into the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit driving Indonesia’s economy forward.
